Actress joins fight against plastic bags

Former Hollyoaks actress, Jaq Croft has made a dramatic entrance into the giftware market with her inspired idea to tackle the issue of wasteful plastic bags.

Jaq says she was out shopping at TK Maxx when she realised she had forgotten to take bags with her and, to keep her green principles in tact, she refused to accept more plastic carriers. Struggling home with her purchases she sat down at her kitchen table to think of a solution and the idea for the BAGGEE and the DOGGEE was born.

By the time husband, Conel arrived home from the music studios he runs she was bursting with a business plan and the couple were destined for new careers in the gift industry.

Like all good ideas this one was simple – the BAGGEE and the DOGGEE are flexible hollow rubber balls attached to a key chain to carry compressed plastic bags. They can be clipped to your dog lead so your pooch never embarrasses you or to your car keys for shopping.

Jaq said: “ I hate the whole idea of having to take more plastic carriers home and I wanted a solution. It is too easy to forget to take bags out with you so I tried to think of something I never leave home without and came up with an idea that would clip to my car keys.”

Already the idea has been extended to include nappy sacks, nurses’ latex gloves, and even gloves for builders. The couple  were at Home & Gift, Harrogate and were delighted with the response.
