2014 Christmas trends

Cool, modern and easily combined, the decorative trends for Christmas 2013 have taken their cue from current fashion. As far back as January 2012, exhibitors at Christmasworld, the world's largest dedicated trade fair for festive and seasonal decorations, had already presented its latest product ideas to the trade.
And now the season is upon us, a good point in time, perhaps, to ask what our homes are going to look like next Christmas. What Christmas 2014 will bring is something that the international wholesale and retail trade will already be finding out about at Christmasworld from 24 to 28 January 2014. Then, 950 exhibitors from all over the world will find their way into Frankfurt's Exhibition Halls to present their new products and ideas for all the festive occasions throughout the year. Heinz-Jürgen Saller, Managing Director of Casablanca risks a prediction: "Green in all its shades will be the dominant colour next year: and, with it, a natural, ecological and organic wave will impact on colour trends. As with white cars, it can take a while before the same wave breaks in furnishings. At the same time, this is surely not going to be about a short term manifestation of fashion here, but with a long-term trend."
